Philip (Phil) Oppenheimer joined Becker in 1966 and became a successful broker and investment manager. He left the firm in early 1984 to form Oppenheimer + Close LLC.  O+C began as a broker-dealer but in due course converted solely to being an advisor. Phil’s son, Carl, now 48, runs the firm. Phil has been a great source of information about fellow New York Becker people.
