Mr. Philip Greer (Phil), joined Becker in 1966 having been an associate in S.R. Arias, Inc. He first joined the corporate finance department but rather promptly was put in charge of the development and implementation of the Becker Technology Associates program. Later, in 1970, Phil joined Steve Weiss and Steve Peck in forming Weiss, Peck and Greer. With WPG Phil concentrated on private risk capital investments. With the sale of WPG in 1998, Phil became a Founding Partner and Special Limited Partner at Opus Capital, and served as the Partner and Investment Officer at Greer Anderson Capital LLC, which he founded in October 2008. Mr. Greer is the Managing Director of Greer Family Consulting and Investments LLC. Additionally, Phil was the Founder at Lightspeed. He was a Member of the Board of Administrators of Tulane University and was elected Chairman of the Board effective June 2006 and also served as its Trustee. Mr. Greer has been a Director of Blyth Inc. since April 2002. He has been a Director of The Robert Mondavi Corporation since 1992. He is a co-owner of Greer Investment Partners II, L.P. He is also a Member of the Board of Santa Catalina School, Monterey, California and Deerfield Academy, Deerfield, Massachusetts. Phil was an early investor and was a Director of Federal Express Corporation from 1974 to 2008 where he served as Chairman of the Compensation Committee. Phil holds an A.B. from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
