As of 7/16/1977: John (Jack) F. Donahue, Jr., New York, is president, chief operating officer and a director and executive committee member of A.G. Becker. He is also a director and executive committee member of The Becker Warburg Paribas Group, Warburg Paribas Becker and A.G. Becker Municipal Securities. Jack joined the company’s Chicago Commercial Paper Department in 1964 and transferred to New York as manager of those activities in 1970. He received a B.S. degree from Georgetown University (1958) and attended graduate school at the New York University Graduate School of Business.

Jack Donahue, working with Jack Connor and other associates, participated in the leadership effort which retained – and then expanded and broadened – the commercial paper and money market business in the face of the Friedlich-Glucksman attempted coup of 1963. By his example, judgment, and personal policies, Jack mentored a long list of key employees in the Credit Securities Division until his resignation in 1982,   Jack first joined Oppenheimer and then moved to Prudential Securities before retiring and then passing away in 2014.

Obituary:
John (Jack) F. Donahue, Jr. died on October 15, 2014, in Port Washington, NY, where he was a long time resident. Jack Donahue was a lifelong philanthropist leaving a legacy to countless Catholic Chariies. He was survived by his widow, Mary; five children. eleven grandchildren; and a sister.
