As of 7/16/1977. George E. Morris, Jr., New York, is vice president and manager of the Special Trading Unit of Becker Securities. He joined the company in 1964 after three years with Shearson Hammill as an institutional sales representative. George received a B.S. degree from Boston University (1953).

In the early 1970s, George requested the opportunity to develop an independent Special Proprietary Trading Operation. His request was granted and he was given a capital allocation. His instincts, talents, and self-discipline led to excellent results. In connection with the Paribas acquisition of employee shares, George was Chairman of the Employee Stockholders’ Committee. After the Merrill acquisition in 1984, George continued his operation on behalf of Paribas.
