David (“Dave”) Simpson joined the Credit Department of Becker in the 1970s coming from the National Credit Office. He worked with Brad Neubaur as an associate, and Lou Moss as Department Manager until 1980, when he succeeded Lou.  Dave headed the Department through the Merrill acquisition and completed a study of the credit review systems of both firms which when completed was substantially disregarded and Merrill continued forward with its own system. Dave retired from Merrill in the later 1980s.
