David O. Wicks, Jr., New York, is vice president, Direct Investments and also is a corporate finance specialist on the communicatians industry for Warburg Paribas Becker. Prior to joining the campany in 1968, Dave was associated with the Chemical Bank for three years. He received a B.A. degree from Trinity College (1963) and an M.B.A. degree from the Unlversity of Virginia Graduate School of Business (1968).

David participated in the 1972-73 origination and development of Becker Communications Associates (see Private Investment Program Appendix). Dave then became the “investment banker” for companies being financed by BCA, and then more generally, for communications companies otherwise sought out by Dave or which came to the attention of Bcker and were turned over to Dave. With the completion of the BCA program and Becker’s termination, Dave went on to be involved in various investment and consulting businesses in the communications field, and an expert witness with respect to cable television.

Obituary:
David Wicks, 70, died December 30, 2011, of complications following heart surgery. He was survived by his widow, Joan, two daughters, two granddaughters, a sister and a brother.
