Claude Wilson was born in the early 1930s in Charlotte, NC and maintained a very pleasant southern accent throughout his business career at Becker. He joined the research department in the NY Office in 1959 as a utilities analyst. In 1962-3, Claude helped to organize the NY corporate finance department and staffed general business projects. In due course, Claude began to assist in the development of utlity company commercial paper issuers, which business expanded considerably under Claude’s leadership and experience. It is not clear when or if Claude left Becker or whether he stayed on through the Merrill acquisition.

Savannah Morning News, May 2, 2017. Claude A. Wilson, Jr., died Saturday, April 29, 2017. He was born January 1, 1930 in Charlotte, North Carolina. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in June of 1951, and obtained an MBA from New York University. Mr. Wilson worked at various financial companies in New York City, and then later had his own firm, CAW Equities in Greenwich, CT until moving to Savannah. He was survived by his widow, Janet; a daughter and a son.
