As of 7/16/1976. Burton (Burt) J. Weiss, New York, was born in 1930 and is a senior vice president, director and Executive Committee member of Becker Securities Corporation and has senior managerial responsibilities for International Institutional activities. He also is a director of The Becker and Warburg-Paribas Group Incorporated. Burt joined Becker in 1954 as a registered representative in the New York General Accounts Department. He received a B.A. degree from Princeton University (1952) (summa cum laude and PBK) and attended graduate school at the University of London and Harvard University.
After the 1974 amalgamation, Burt became a Director of S.G. Warburg. In 1980, Burt moved to London to join the Warburg organization and later became manager of Cowen Asset Management in NYC. Burt retired in the late 1980s to the Chapel Hill area of North Carolina, where he was active in local civic groups.

New York Times, December 12, 2007. Burton J. Weiss, age 77, died Sunday of complications from lung disease. He was survived by his widow, Nan; three children; and six grandchildren.
