As of 7/16/1977. Albert A. Pisterzi, is vice president and sales manager for the Institutional Funds Evaluation Services Division of Becker Securities. He joined the company in 1970 after five years with Container Corporation of America as a field sales manager. Al received a B.S. degree from DePaul University (1963) and an M.B.A. degree from Columbia University (1965). Al worked his was up in the funds evaluation business and in 1981, was elected a Senior Vice President and appointed Manager of the Funds Evaluation business.
In 1984, Al established an invesment management business. Starting with a small asset base, the business bloomed and was sold in mid 1991 for a substantial sum. In 1998, Al joined a small firm to organize and lead an institutional marketing effort for a portion of the firm, which effort was quite successful, and the whole firm was later sold at a handsome profit. Later, Al was hired to turn around an asset management company and restore its value which was completed with the sale of the business on a multiple of revenues. From the mid 1990s through the early 2000s, Al took on and successfully completed three additional turn-around leadership roles in the investment managmeent field. Over the last ten years Al has eased off.
