As of 7/16/1977. Charles M. Hale was born in 1936. He received a B.S. degree with distinction from Stanford University (1957) and an M.B.A. degree from the Harvard Business School (1963), serving as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy in between. He joined Becker in 1971 after being a partner in Hirsch & Co. in London for some eight years. The London office under Charles’ leadership became quite successful. In 1983, Charles left Becker to become a partner for a short time in Lehman Brothers, and then joined Donaldson Lufkin as Chairman of of DLJ International. With the merger of DLJ into Credit Suisee First Boston in 2000 Charles became Vice Chairman of that firm’s European operation based in London. He joined Polar Capital Partners, Ltd. ion 2002 as Executive Chairman.
